Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Smalltam Software ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates VetLens, a pet health record management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using VetLens, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Overview

VetLens helps pet owners manage their pets' health records and understand medical information. To provide this service, we collect and process certain information, including:

  • Account information you provide when you sign up
  • Pet medical documents you upload
  • Questions you ask about your pet's health
  • Usage data about how you interact with the Service

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. We do not sell or share your pet's uploaded medical documents with third parties. We may share other information — such as your contact details and how you use the Service — with marketing partners, as described in Section 5 below.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account, or information from Google/Apple if you use social login
  • Pet Information: Your pet's name, species, breed, age, and other details you choose to provide
  • Uploaded Documents: Veterinary records, lab results, prescriptions, and other medical documents you upload
  • Chat Content: Questions you ask and conversations you have with our AI assistant
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe (we do not store your full credit card number)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the Service
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs
  • Analytics: Aggregated usage patterns to improve the Service

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and analyze your uploaded documents using AI
  • Respond to your questions about your pet's health records
  • Track health trends and generate insights from your pet's data
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send you service-related communications (account updates, security alerts)
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Improve our AI models and service quality (using anonymized, aggregated data only)

4. AI Processing of Documents

Your documents are processed by AI to provide the Service. Here's how it works:

  • Document Analysis: When you upload a document, we use AI (Google Gemini) to extract and understand the medical information
  • Question Answering: When you ask questions, AI processes your query along with relevant document context to generate responses
  • Data Isolation: Your documents and conversations are isolated to your account and not shared with other users
  • Third-Party AI: Our AI features are powered by Google Gemini. Your data sent to Google is subject to Google's privacy practices and data policies

AI processing is essential to providing VetLens's core functionality. By using the Service, you consent to this processing. For details on how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or share your pet's uploaded medical documents with third parties. We may share other categories of information as described below.

Marketing and Business Partners

We may share your contact and account information with marketing partners, advertising platforms, and affiliated brands so that we and they can send you offers and promotions that may be relevant to you. This does not include your pet's uploaded medical documents or chat conversations. You can opt out at any time — see "Your Rights and Choices" below.

We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service:
